I don't think £295 is too much to complain about there Stray, I'd expect to pay around £200 fitted for a pair of tyres from my local friendly not expensive bike shop, probably more like £250 to £275 from a dealer. With the other work on top I'd say you've done OK there. I'm assuming the price quoted includes the tyres but not the chain, sprockets or bearings? My last chain and sprockets as I recall was about £150 but it's a while ago now.

Now the wallet ache has passed, I think you're right, Greg - £295 is not too bad for all that work plus tyres.

I guess it always surprises me how much more expensive it is to maintain a motorcycle than a car. A long time ago it was the other way round.

I just had a quote for new tyres for me old Ducati, 120/90/18 + 100/90/18 Michelins and they wanted € 345,- incl inner tubes !!!!   Undecided
