Right were in just booked see you all soon twice in one year . any new members coming were not that bad a crowed have been known to wash on sundays and change our under pants every three days, you can turn them inside out on the second day . hope to see some of you soon .

 Fancy new 2008 colour scheme

As a "new" member I was quietly hoping to join you guys and meet some of you in person. I have a real soft spot for Cornish pasties (really soft in the midriff), but am afraid the recession is biting too hard. I'll regroup and hopefully meet up on the next run.

Have a real cracking time out there,

Stray

Stray you sure you cant make it ? the B&B is not that expensive, go on go for it !!!!!!

It would be awesome to meet up with you guys, Steve, particularly in such a beautiful part of the island. Unfortunately I get back from a fortnight in Greece on 28 August, and fear the kitty will be quite dry by then. Still, I would like to buy a round to say thanks for all the advice you've given on the forum since I joined last year, so I'll make a special effort to come down even if only for one night. I'll wait and see how things go in Greece first, and then try to book a room. That will give enough time to squeeze a couple of pasties and a cream tea in, you know, just to support the British tourism industry a little...

Hello all

So the date is 1st - 3rd oct yes?

Any room for a small one?

Not sure if Lisa's going to be there, she's joined a motorcycle club and has been to a few rallies recently (totally not my cup of tea) so she might have that weekend booked but I'll check.

Is there any room at the inn for me?

Hi Martin, be great to have you along mate.
Give the B&B a call:

http://www.stoverlodge.co.uk/index.htm

If they have no room im sure they could give you the name of any places nearby, another option would be the the Travel Lodge that looks like it could be right opposite.

Thing is see, XJROG is quite a decent basis for a web address. Whereas "usedtorideanxjrorismateswithsomeonewhoridesanxjrorridesanfz1aswellasanxjrorevenablackbirdaswellasanxjr" isn't. I suppose "itain'twhatyourideit'swhoyouare" might be better but I think we'll stick with XJROG, it's a lot less paperwork.

Bottom line Martin, friends are always welcome. Come on the bus if you must, it's being there that matters!!

I agree with you Greg, never owned an xjr but was made to feel most welcome every time we got together  Hug action-smiley-083 and even this year when i turned up at matlock in my car Roll Eyes was afforded a good welcome. Then again with such lovley folk its hardly surprising. Enjoy your trip and as always stay safe.
